Scheffler Trails Early
What Happened: Day One of the Masters wrapped up (for most golfers, at least) and your leader so far is…not Scottie Scheffler.
LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau roared out to a -7 score to lead the pack, with Scheffler trailing by a single stroke.
Why It Matters: It looks like Scheffler, the World’s No. 1 ranked player, has some competition.
DeChambeau’s odds have rocketed all the way up to +550 on DraftKings. And yet, Scheffler remains a heavy favorite at +140 after he shot a 66.
Only three other golfers have better than 20-to-1 odds so far besides those two: Max Homa at +1400, Rory McIlroy at +1600, and newcomer Ludvig Aberg at +1800.
There’s plenty of time left, and Scheffler seems on track so far, but there are still some intriguing options out there on the betting market.

If you were lucky enough to miss it, on the “Deep Cut” podcast, Brady claims he’s “not opposed” to parachuting into the 2024 NFL season at some point if a team called.
What is this guy avoiding?
Brady signed a deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars to broadcast for Fox, and has so far spent as much time in the booth as I have. He also just launched an apparel company called NoBull and has three kids to take care of.
Tom, baby, it’s over! You’d be forty-dang-seven by the time the season is underway. Hang up the cleats and try a strawberry or ice cream or something. Your football resume is impeccable, so maybe go enjoy life at this point. Anything out of the view of Jets fans please.
The Look Ahead
Jamal Murray POINTS + ASSISTS – The Nuggets’ short-term goal at this point is to hold off the Timberwolves and Thunder and remain the top dog in the West. Tonight, they get to face the Spurs, the weakest team in the conference. Nikola Jokic should probably be in standby mode ahead of the playoffs, so let’s see Murray get some shine. He’s beaten his 24.5 line tonight in seven of his last 10 games and in consecutive games already.
Pavel Buchnevich POINTS – Mathematically, St. Louis still has a small shot at the playoffs, so it does have something to play for tonight. Its opponent, Carolina, is probably downshifting with the second spot in the Metro locked up. Buchnevich has recorded a point in four straight games, and the Blues have been lighting the lamp a bunch, scoring 11 goals in two games.
