Today we celebrate a Texas Rangers loss…

and wonder if Caitlin Clark will answer the call.

Rangers Deliver In Big Way

What Happened: Last night, the Texas Rangers fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks by a score of 6-0. The result matters to an Arizona ball club in the thick of a tight NL Wild Card race.

For the Rangers, their record dropped to 70-75, a disappointing campaign following last season’s World Series triumph, but not especially noteworthy for a team that hasn’t been even .500 since May.

But it did matter quite a bit to us here at Full Card Sweep…

Why It Matters: With 17 games left, Texas is sure to miss out on the postseason. It’s also capped at 87 wins for this season if the team ran the table the rest of the way.

FCS VIP members can tell you that we laid 2 units on the under of a Texas Rangers 88.5 Regular Season Wins wager. As of yesterday’s result, that’s officially cashed. So yeah, we’ll brag a bit today.

Plus, we still have two MLB futures live with chances to hit before the season ends. Feeling FOMO? No worries; we released FIVE NFL + NCAA football futures that you can still tail (all 3-units) and profit from. If you already missed out on a winner, don’t let lightning strike twice.

What We’re Watching Today

Aces at Fever (7:00 PM ET) – In a season full of tests for Caitlin Clark, the rookie phenom and her Indiana squad will face a toughie this week, playing the back-to-back champ Aces twice in three days. Vegas has gotten the (much) better of the Fever this season, winning by 19 both times these teams faced off earlier in the year. This home stand will be a good measure of progress for Clark and the Fever.

Rockies at Tigers (6:40 PM ET) – Don’t look now (or look we guess, kinda the whole point of this section in fact) but the Detroit Tigers are just three games out of a playoff spot. A three-game swing against the Rockies is a nice way to help those postseason aspirations. Casey Mize makes his third start for Detroit since returning from a hamstring strain suffered back in June.

The Look Ahead

Hunter Brown

Hunter Brown STRIKEOUTS Brown has a strikeouts prop total of 7.5 for his start against the Athletics tonight. The issue? He hasn’t topped that figure in four consecutive starts. He did strike out eight when he faced Oakland back in July; however, if Brown gets through three innings today, he’ll exceed his innings pitched from last season. It’s fair to wonder if the season is wearing on the young righty a bit, so we’d err on the side of going under here if anything.
