Who Is Winning NFL Free Agency?
What Happened: Player movement creates futures odds movement in the NFL. A frenzy of free agent signings has swung Super Bowl odds, positively for some teams, less so for others.
Why It Matters: Depends on if you believe that dominating free agency news is the key to winning games. The Falcons landing Kirk Cousins caused their title odds to jump from +5000 to +2500. Meanwhile, raiding New York teams (Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff) pushed the Eagles’ odds from +2000 to +1700.
On the flip side, Minnesota plummeted from +6000 to +7500. Maybe you don’t think much of Cousins, but without a plan at QB, it’s hard to see any path to glory for the Vikings.
How We’re Feeling Today
Puzzled by Aaron Rodgers. The Jets QB got on his soapbox and trashed the organization’s focus after a dismal season, demanding that “the bullshit that has nothing to do with winning has to get out of the building.”
Now we learn that Rodgers is interested in embarking on a presidential campaign as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate. Regardless of your political leanings, we can tell you two things with certainty: 1. That ticket ain’t winning the White House. 2. Fledgling political aspirations won’t win Robert Saleh’s team any games.
The Look Ahead
Kyle Lowry POINTS + ASSISTS – We get it if you don’t want to touch the 76ers offense, which has scored an abysmal 79 points in back-to-back outings. But the Bucks haven’t been able to slow down opposing guards this season. Plus, Lowry has bested the 12.5 P+A line in five of his nine games as a Sixer.
